The Wilson Deluxe Wire Trace is 6 pieces of black nylon-coated stainless steel wire. The smooth black nylon coating seals out the water to improve the lifespan of the line, and provides additional abrasion-resistance for the extra-sharp teeth this wire leader will encounter in the ocean.
It is soft and flexible which makes for easy handling for the angler, but more importantly it is super-strong so can be used for trolling or fishing with either live or dead baits.
At either end of the wire there is a high-quality, heavy-duty crane swivel and a coastlock snap. The swivel will allow you to quickly attach the wire trace to your mainline, and the coastlock snap can attach to your lures quickly and easily. You can interchange the lures whenever you like, to try different colours and sizes when the action is slow.
There’s nothing worse than losing one of your all-time lures to a shark, mackerel or barracuda. Lures are getting more and more expensive to replace, so make sure you have some wire trace handy when trolling with lures offshore.
