I am a proud ” Bandjin” man. A “Saltwater” man.

Saltwater is my life bringing it’s deep connections to sea and it’s coastal waters, waterways and it’s fringes that has shaped me as a Barramundi fishing guide all of my life. Past down to me by my father through his teachings, traditions and connections to country.

Col: 01 / Birds or Prey

This lure to me represents “Flight and Hunting”. The Jabiru being a graceful hunter spearing his prey with his beak and the Egret “The barra bird” telling me where the bait and the barramundi are.

Col:02 / Fire

This lure to me represents “FIRE”. The Red is the red hot coals and the White represents white ash. Camp-fire, our “Sitting down place” were we cook our traditional tucker connecting me to country and telling of stories.

This lure to me represents the journey from saltwater country to freshwater resting place. A place of deep connection, spirituality and cleansing country.

This lure to me represents “Life Cycle and Renewal”. When the Barra breed and hatch in the salt they make their way to freshwater country to grow and get fat up in amongst the water lilies.

This lure to me represents the “Hunters”. The crocodile wise and cunning. The sea eagle is my father watching and guiding me. Both of them show me where the barramundi will be.
